Meet Our Pastor

Pastor David Spencer was born and raised in Lumberton, NC. He now resides in Laurinburg, NC, where he is the husband of his best friend, Tiffany Spencer, and the proud father of three children: Daveah, David Jr., and Amiyah Spencer. Pastor Spencer is the Director of Marketing and Communication at Lumbee River EMC in Pembroke, NC.

Pastor Spencer holds a BA in music from North Carolina Central University. He also has an MS in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University and an MA in Integrated Marketing Communication from the University of North Carolina in Wilmington. Minister Spencer considers himself a life learner. He is currently researching Doctorate programs and is planning to enroll soon.

Before answering the call to preach, Spencer served various churches as the Minister of Music. He faithfully served Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Bennettsville, SC, for over a decade under the leadership of Pastor Rev. Dr. Harold Livingston.

Officially answering the call to preach in November 2021, Spencer presented his initial sermon at Pentecostal UHC, Lumberton, NC, under the leadership of Bishop Russell Rogers. He went on to serve as an associate minister at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist under the leadership of Pastor Jerrod Moultrie, where he was ordained in December 2023.

In January 2024, the great people of First Baptist Church in Bladenboro, NC, yielded to the voice of the holy spirit and elected Rev. David Spencer as Pastor.  He shares, “Every accomplishment pales compared to walking in purpose and answering the call of God to preach the Gospel and do his will.”
